God of all knowledge and imagination,
you nurture us in body, mind and spirit;
so we pray for students and teachers returning to school this week,
that in their sharing there may grow wisdom;
that in their learning there may grow understanding;
that in their play there may grow empathy;
that in their work there may grow joy and excitement;
that in their environment there may be love and acceptance for all;
that in new beginnings there may be hope for the future.
These things we ask in the name of Jesus your child.
